Tokyo Tatemono Corporation, a developer and operator of urban development and office buildings, and Hotel Properties, which operates hotels in various parts of the world, have announced that they will invite Four Seasons Hotel to join them in the “ONE DOJIMA PROJECT,” a high-rise tower construction project. The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will open in 2024.

 

The Osaka Kansai Expo is scheduled to be held in 2025, so it is assumed that it was opened in preparation for that.

How many floors is the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka in the high-rise tower?

This high-rise tower building will also be called Brillia Tower Dojima, and will be a 49-story tower complex that will house Brillia, a private residence with international standard features, a spa with spa treatments and a gym by top creators, and a Four Seasons Hotel with restaurants, cafes, bars, and banquet facilities. The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will be located in the tower complex.

The Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will be located on the 1st and 2nd floors and the 28th to 37th floors, and will have 178 guest rooms. As you can see in the image below, most of the buildings in the vicinity are about 20 stories high at most, so it looks like you can see far into the distance to some extent.

Where can the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka be located?

Where the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka is going to open is a place called “Dojima” near Umeda in Osaka. It is close to the famous downtown area of Kitashinchi, about 10 minutes from JR Osaka Station and 5 minutes from JR Kitashinchi Station. It is also about 5 minutes away from Osaka Metro’s “Nishi Umeda” station. From any of the stations, you will probably end up going above ground, but the clientele that use this place may be people coming from the airport or Shin-Osaka station by cab.

 

This place used to house the Dentsu Kansai building, which was already cleared in December 2020, and it looks like construction has already started.

However, the area around this parcel is located in a place where the roads are not very wide, so it will be difficult for buses, let alone cabs, to enter the area.

Also, the area is lined with business buildings, and there are usually a lot of people working there, so there is a lot of traffic on weekdays.

There is a tobacco shop on the corner right in front of the proposed hotel site, which is a smoking place for smokers, but it may become an international smoking place when the inbound people come back.

What are the facilities other than the hotel at Four Seasons Hotel Osaka?

Incidentally, the Brillia portion of the private residences is located on the 1st to 27th floors and 38th to 49th floors, with a total of 466 units. The private areas range from 30 to 230 square meters, and the ceilings are a whopping 2.7 to 4 meters high.

A concierge is stationed on the 2nd and 43rd floors, and security guards are stationed at the entrance. The top floor will have common facilities such as a lounge and party room, and it looks like it will have a great view.

What are the other hotels and restaurants near the Four Seasons Hotel Osaka?

There is also the former site of the Dojima Hotel in this area, where the Marriott Group’s Aloft Osaka Dojima will open in 2021, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the area develops in the future.

There are also various restaurants in the area, such as Italian restaurants, yakiniku restaurants, and motsu nabe restaurants, so there is no shortage of places to eat. If you go a little further to the Kitashinchi area, you can have a great lunch of various genres for about 1000 yen.
